James Cross owns his own business, but he hasn't given himself a consistent paycheck since December. The 23-year-old owner of Leaves 'N Beans Roasting Co., 4800 N. Prospect Road, said he takes cash out of the register every once in a while to buy dinner, but that's about it. It's partially because he desperately wants to expand his business.
