The idea of a barista is to have enough knowledge of the most if not all of the processes of coffeepreparation to effectively make a desired cup of coffee. Including: Correct operation, maintenance and/or programming of the espresso machine, bean grinding and grind tamping, extraction times, water temperature and purity and milk heating.
